When I began working with Chris in September I was at my highest weight at 258lbs. I knew I needed to become healthier, but had no idea where to start. Chris was amazing at sitting down and helping me to figure out what steps I needed to take to become healthier. He helped me to formulate realistic goals with a realistic time frame of achieving them. He went above and beyond just training. He helped me to stay on track with my diet, tracking, gym attendance, and keeping me motivated. He was always available day or night if I needed to text him a question about anything.
Before I began I was very unconfident and uncomfortable in the gym environment. I felt like everyone would watch me and see how ridiculous I looked attempting exercises. I also kept trying to compare myself to other gym members I saw working out. Chris did a great job of helping me to focus on just myself and creating an environment that was encouraging whenever I stepped into the gym. He helped me to meet the other trainers and other gym members so I was comfortable.
Chris always made sure I pushed myself, especially in the beginning when I was learning the ropes. I never left feeling like I wasted a session. He was also very aware of how I was doing while exercising. Making sure that I was staying hydrated and not doing anything in an unhealthy way. If I said I felt like I was pushing too hard, he would adapt the workout to make sure it would be the most effective for me that day With Chris’ help and encouragement I went from 258lb September 9 down 36lbs to 222 today. I attribute most of my progress to Chris’ amazing and caring training style. I look forward to continue to have Chris as my Trainer.
